Still processing what the body is capable of doing when creating life. Our bodies go through so many changes when carrying a bebe and after birth. One of my favorite parts of becoming a mama has been nourishing bebe with my leche. It has been such a sacred connection and honor to provide him with this liquid gold. This piece has been one of our favorites to work on because we worked side by side and were able to work on a larger scale than we usually do!

This Special edition gold accent on the nipple has undergone three firings, the last one containing Gold Luster, which is an overglaze containing actual gold.

In the ancient Americas, gold was a manifestation of the sacred associated with the sun. In Colombia offerings containing gold pieces were offered to the gods.
