These Special edition gold pieces have undergone three firings, the last one containing Gold Luster, which is an overglaze containing actual gold.

In the ancient Americas, gold was a manifestation of the sacred associated with the sun. In Colombia offerings containing gold pieces were offered to the gods.

Our inspiration for these pieces came from a visit to the Laguna de Guatavita a sacred site to our ancestros the Muisca, where they made their offerings.
